Poll: Obama has wide lead over McCain in Conn.

HAMDEN, Conn. - Democrat Barack Obama would defeat Republican John
McCain by a wide margin in Connecticut in a hypothetical general
election matchup, according to a Quinnipiac University streetwear clothes released
Thursday.
Sen. Obama, D-Ill., benefits from strong support from young and
independent voters, beating Arizona indie clothes McCain, 52-35 percent.
Democrat Hillary Clinton also would beat McCain in the state, but by
the smaller margin of 45-42 percent.
Among independent voters, Obama receives 45 percent and McCain wins 38
percent. And voters younger than 45 support Obama over McCain, 63-30
percent.

"Sen. Barack indie clothing has argued that he is more electable than auto insurance more Hillary Clinton because of his appeal to independent voters. And in
Connecticut that is what we are finding," said Douglas Schwartz,
Quinnipiac University poll director. "Independent voters, especially
independent men, make the difference in Connecticut."
Clinton has the highest unfavorable rating among the three candidates.
The poll found that 46 percent viewed the former first lady favorably,
while 47 percent had an unfavorable opinion of her.
For Obama, 59 percent viewed him favorably and 24 percent indie style And 52 chinese lessons chicago had volvo insurance favorable opinion of McCain, while 31 percent had
insurance quote unfavorable view of him.
The poll also found that 47 percent of voters in Connecticut say the
economy is the most important issue, followed by 25 percent who
identify the war in Iraq and 11 percent who cited health care.
The margin of sampling error for the 1,697 Connecticut registered
voters was plus or minus 2.4 percentage points.
